Atypical presentation of "takotsubo cardiomyopathy" without ST segment elevation: a case report

چکیده
INTRODUCTION "Takotsubo cardiomyopathy" is characterized by transient LV dysfunction and mimicking acute myocardial infarction. CASE PRESENTATION We reported a case with atypical presentation of "takotsubo cardiomyopathy" without ST segment elevation, but with severe transient left ventricular dysfunction. CONCLUSION Diagnosis of "takotsubo cardiomyopathy" should be based on typical left ventricular dysfunction without coronary artery disease.

Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy with a Tombstoning ST Segment Elevation: a Case Report
A 50-year-old female with a final diagnosis of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM) was reported. Episodes of seizures, which were companied with a transient tombstoning ST elevation, were recorded during treatment. This report on TCM with tombstoning ST elevation implies to clinicians that the ECG changes of TCM are of great variability.
متن کاملReversible Stress Cardiomyopathy Presenting as Acute Coronary Syndrome with Elevated Troponin in the Absence of Regional Wall Motion Abnormalities: A Forme Fruste of Stress Cardiomyopathy?
We present a case of reversible stress cardiomyopathy in a surgical patient, described here as a forme fruste due to its atypical features. It is important to recognize such unusual presentation of stress cardiomyopathy that mimics acute coronary syndrome. Stress cardiomyopathy commonly presents as acute coronary syndrome and is characterized by typical or atypical variants of regional wall mot...

متن کاملVariable conduction system disorders in takotsubo cardiomyopathy: a case series.
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy is an acute cardiac condition characterized by transient systolic dysfunction of the left ventricular apex and mid-ventricle. Documented EKG presentations for Takotsubo cardiomyopathy include ST-segment elevation or T-wave inversion. These EKG presentations are included in the diagnostic requirements for Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. This paper presents two cases of atypica...
متن کاملBroken heart during treadmill exercise testing: an unusual cause of ST-segment elevation.
Treadmill exercise testing is a commonly used diagnostic test for the assessment of chest discomfort and exercise-induced arrhythmias. The presence of ST-segment elevation during exercise is considered a marker of severe ischaemia, usually secondary to a critical lesion in a proximal coronary artery. We present a novel cause of ST-segment elevation during exercise testing: "broken heart syndrom...
